What is District 8?

District 8 is the heart of San Francisco, geographically and in spirit. It includes some of San Francisco's most vibrant and iconic neighborhoods, including the Castro, Upper Market, Noe Valley, Glen Park, Diamond Heights, Twin Peaks, Buena Vista, Corona Heights, Corbett Heights, Duboce Triangle, Dolores Heights, Liberty Heights, and parts of the Inner Mission and Lower Haight. District 8 is one of the most civic-minded districts. It has the highest voter turnout, largest number of registered voters of any district in San Francisco, and many committed and visionary residents who are focused on improving their neighborhoods and the city as a whole.
